Reverend Stephen Lewis Vinson was born September 10, 1965, and is a native of the Bronx, New York. He is the first sibling of Estella and the late Walter Lewis Vinson; he has one sister Denise Vinson. He graduated from Park West High School in Manhattan, New York, and continued his studies at Bronx Community College as part of the City University of New York (CUNY). There he earned his Associates in Applied Sciences in Marketing Retail and Sales.

After the completion of this degree, Reverend Vinson on 25 June 1987 enlisted in the United States Army.   His area of expertise, while in the Army, was in the field of Supply and Logistics. Also, during his active service time, he served in 3 overseas assignments (Italy, Germany, and Korea), 2 deployments to Iraq as well as multiple stateside tours ranging from Fort Carson, Colorado to Fort Bragg, North Carolina.     

After serving honorably, 23 years and six days of active-duty service, he retired on 30 June 2010.  He switched his boots and Army Combat Uniform into a polo shirt, slacks, and casual shoes. Through God’s Blessings, Stephen is currently serving as a Tasking Officer within the XVIII Airborne Corps (G3) Operations Section as a Department of the Army Civilian.

Reverend Vinson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, (Business and Religion), from Liberty University in May 2012.  Currently, he is enrolled in the Carolina College of Biblical Studies (CCBS) pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies degree.

He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1991. He has been serving in ministry since 1997, at which time he accepted his call to the ministry. Reverend Vinson was licensed to preach in July of 2003 from Reverend Dr. Charles A. Lundy, Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church in Woodbridge (Occoquan), Virginia.

Reverend Vinson has served in ministry in various capacities and has a passion for teaching people how to apply the Word of God in their everyday lives. One of his favorite scriptures in which he patterns his life is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths”.

Reverend Vinson served as Assistant to the Pastor at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Rex, North Carolina under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Harry Ghee for over 5 years.          

He currently resides in Raeford, North Carolina along with his lovely wife Loretta Diana Vinson of 23 years, they are the proud parents of one daughter (Sharonda) and a grandson (Devin).  It is our continued prayer that His name be gloried in all our efforts.
